  • Input devices

    • Mouse

      The mouse typically uses either a USB or PS/2 interface. Mouse types include ball, optical, USB, PS/2, and wireless.


    • Keyboard

      The keyboard typically uses either a USB or PS/2 interface.


    • Touch screen

      Display device that can detect the presence and location of a touch within the display area. Commonly used in game consoles, all-in-one computers, tablet computers, and smartphones.


    • Scanner

    • Barcode reader

      The keyboard typically uses either a USB or PS/2 interface.


    • KVM

      Allows user to control multiple computers from a single keyboard, video monitor, and mouse. Keyboard and mouse connections may include USB or PS/2. Video connections typically include VGA or DVI. May include audio support.


    • Microphone

    • Biometric devices

      A device that requires some form of physical recognition to access. Options may include finger print, hand print, or retinal scan and may be integrated or connected through USB.


    • Game pads

    • Joysticks

    • Digitizer


  • Multimedia devices

    Interfaces include RS-232 serial, PS/2, USB, and wireless.
